All week long, we’re celebrating our most favorite color….which OF COURSE is PINK! We do have love affairs with other colors but it’s safe to say pink is our most “committed relationship.” So now you’re thinking, doesn’t Lilly celebrate pink every day? Well obviously we do. But it’s not just the heart shaped holiday around the corner prompting us to celebrate pink even more this week- actually it’s the recognition our good friends at Pantone gave pink when they announced the selection of Honeysuckle Pink as the 2011 Color of the Year. We couldn’t be more thrilled that they are telling the world what we’ve known for years; the color pink is known to lift spirits, instill confidence and even elevate our psyche. And Honeysuckle Pink just happens to bear a veeeery close resemblance to one of our longtime favorites, Hotty Pink.

Oh, and yes it is true, we DO work in a pink building. We’re literally surrounding ourselves in pink and we feel pretty happy, confident, powerful and courageous every day!

Less than 15 minutes from our Pink Palace headquarters is the soon-to-be home of the newly relocated Lilly Pulitzer retail store in the divine Suburban Square. The print design team has been lending their fine art skills to create in-store magic, Lilly style- this time with our friend here, the Giraffe! (he’s a bit naked now but rest-assured, he’ll be in his Lilly finery by opening) And we couldn’t help but get excited by the window dressing, teasing all the passers-by with what’s to come.

It’s yet another bleary day here in the East and we’re just dying for some sun.  Lillyland (our Facebook page) is always the sunniest place to be online and today, we looked to our fans for a little sunshine.  And boy did you deliver!  You shared some of the most adorable, bright, shiny and FUN pictures – all of which brought a smile to our faces and a little sunshine to our hearts!  Just what the Pink Palace ordered! Thank you for that.
