Last night in New York City, Lilly Pulitzer received the “Spirit of a Woman” Award from the American Apparel & Footwear Association. The award was presented by a true Lilly Pulitzer fan, designer, and current Liz Claiborne Creative Director, Isaac Mizrahi. Scott Beaumont, Lilly CEO accepted the award on behalf of the company. The AAFA American Image Awards honor this year’s true icons in the fashion industry. We are so thrilled to be included. Happy Belated Mother’s Day!

Yesterday the Lilly Team hit the Art Musuem area here in Philly for the ”Race for A Cure” a walk to raise awareness, funds and remember those lost to Breast Cancer. We are always so thrilled to be a part of this amazing day and share in the strength of survivors and families. Attaching a few photos for everyone’s viewing. Tomorrow at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street in NYC come celebrate Lilly and meet one of the women behind A Colorful Cause- Elisabeth Hasselbeck!! We’ll be unveiling the summer Jubilee Collection and also the Jubilee Retrospective- for the first time in a department store a select amount of vintage pieces will be FOR SALE!!! Thursday, April 30th 6-8pm. 3rd Floor. Also check out the the windows on Lexington Ave. they are completely Lilly-fied!

One of our wonderful Winter Park faithfuls organized a Lilly themed table at this year’s “Dinner On The Avenue” in Winter Park, FL this past Saturday. And how truly appropriate… she won The Most Colorful Award!!  We just had to share with everyone- when it comes to Lilly, Mary Lane pulls out all the stops. We are so proud of her! Congratulations to you and your team!

In her email to us on Sunday she said, “Of course, no one can top Lilly when it comes to colorful entertaining! We came to win and we did. We think, even Lilly herself, would have been proud and definitely enjoyed the evening. The only problem, how do we top this next year????”

With Jubilee Events happening across the country this weekend, we headed to the Polo fields in Wellington, FL to celebrate our new store in the PGA Mall opening its doors April 17th.  Not only were we stomping divots with the best of them, we got to drive the Lilly Jeep on center field!! Champagne trucks and Lilly-clad models welcomed photos and fun throughout the break. After the match we moved poolside where guests received gift bags and a sneak peak of Summer 2009. Jealous?

Thank goodness the Lilly Pulitzer Crew braved the weather and headed to The Carolina Cup this past Saturday. I have to say without Lilly there it would have been so dreary!! But alas, it was a rainbow of Lilly amongst rain clouds. We sweetened the day with palm tree cookies, chocolate and cupcakes, not to mention give-aways and freebies. The first 100 men who dared enter the tent without any Lilly on were immediately rescued with a complimentary Lilly bow tie.If you weren’t able to make it we’re sad to say you missed a great party! Maybe next year

Lilly Pulitzer and two amazing young ladies Victoria and Jesse are teaming up to fight Breast Cancer and increase Cancer Awareness! The two 3rd grade girls started this amazing fundraising idea after Victoria’s mother Angela was diagnosed with breast cancer and sadly lost her battle last September. They joined their classmates in deciding to make a difference..one cup at a time! Of course they decided Pink Lemonade would be most appropriate. Please join us for Lemonade and Sweet Treats in helping Jesse and Victoria raise money at our Winter Park Store. During these special shopping times we will be donating 10% of all sales to this great cause.

Join us in celebrating our 50th Jubilee tomorrow at the Lilly Pulitzer store in the King of Prussia Mall! From 5pm-8pm we’ll be enjoying the Traveling Lilly Retrospective  and a book signing by local author Beth Dunn.  Hope to see you all there!!
