We had so much fun with our Facebook Fans this week! We first of all want to thank everyone for helping on our quest for 13,000! As you know about a week ago, we challenged Lilly Lovers everywhere to expand our Lilly Family. If we met our goal, 20 lucky fans were going to be invited to have a private tour of the corporate office. Although we were 100 fans away from reaching our 13,000 facebook fans goal on Tuesday night…we were SO impressed with the enthusiasm from our fans (and always love an excuse to throw a party), that we decided to pick 20 lucky Facebook fans anyways. 5 fans were able to make it wednesday and we had another 11 today. On Wednesday, Scott Beaumont, CEO, gave a history of the brand on and tour of the building while Rebecca one of our print designers wow’ed them with upcoming prints for next summer. They also got a sneak peak of the Resort ’09 line! There were squeals of excitement, lots of smiles, and of course hugs to go around.
We’re already up to 13,650 fans today… how quick can we get to 25,000? Suggestions? Facebook@lillypulitzer.com

We wish everyone a happy, healthy Memorial Day with friends and loved ones!!!!!
(cute photo compliments of marthastewart.com)
Cheers!
Here’s a yummy recipe for a great cocktail. Remember no Memorial Day picnic should be without strawberries!!
Ingredients
450g strawberries, sliced and diced
1 tbs icing sugar
Crushed ice (optional, but refreshing)
2/3 cup (165ml) vodka, chilled
1 bottle sparkling wine, chilled
Method
Place the strawberries and icing sugar in a blender or food processor and blend or process until mixture forms smooth puree.
Pass the puree through a fine sieve into a bowl and discard the seeds in the sieve. Cover the puree with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator.
Half-fill 8 champagne flutes/ or other tall glass with the crushed ice, if using. Divide the chilled strawberry puree among the flutes, then top each with a splash of vodka. Top up with the sparkling wine.
Notes & tips
You can make the strawberry puree up to 2 days ahead
Our Madison Avenue retail store celebrated the unveiling of the Jubilee retrospective with a jam packed week of in-store events! Madison Avenue has partnered with the Union League, Big City Moms, and St. James Church to host events this week. Most notably, Madison Avenue partnered with Big City Moms for a Shop and Share event this past weekend. The shopping event was in store and the brought the whole family in for the festivities. There was cookie decorating, face painting, and musical entertainment for the Minnies. These ladies sure know how to shop. But don’t worry we’ll be restocking for the rest of you- haha!
Cheers!
Just stumbled across this AWESOME website targeted toward travel philanthropy- how fun! I’m dying to go on the tour in India with the grandsons of M.K Ghandi! They are all about promoting responsible tourism; giving back to the communities you visit and taking care of the natural resources you’re there to enjoy. This sounds right up our alley!
