Lilly Pulitzer Hamptons Travel Guide

Posted on July 23, 2014 in More Fun by | 3 comments

Bring on the rosé and Jitney rides… it’s time to talk one of our all-time favorite summer destinations. The Hamptons are made up of over 20 unique villages spread throughout the towns of Southampton & East Hampton. Whether you want to get dressed to the nines for a glam night or just throw on your sandals and pop into a low-key seafood shack, here are our favorite activities & spots:

Lilly Pulitzer The Hamptons

Shop: Look no further than East Hampton. Okay, we’re slightly biased since we always head straight to the Lilly Pulitzer store on the corner of Newtown Ln. But, in reality East Hampton is a shopping mecca. Stroll down Main Street and shop till you drop or just take in the elaborate window displays.

Beach: Sunny day? The beach is a must. You really can’t go wrong with any of the beaches but here are our favorites… East Hampton – Main Beach, Southampton – Coopers Beach, Montauk – Ditch Plains (mainly because of the cute surfer boys). For the ultimate beach experience, reserve a cabana on the sand at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa.

Surf Lodge: Head to Montauk to enjoy sunset cocktails, dinner or stay late for a wild night at the bohemian Surf Lodge. Make sure to make it to one of their free Sunday concerts in the summer… it’s worth the late trip back home.

Polo: Enjoy a match at Bridgehampton Polo Club… you can scope out the A-list celebrity scene every weekend throughout July and August.

Sloppy Tuna: Located on the beach in Montauk, it’s a guaranteed fun time for day or night. Jam out to a live band… we love beachside reggae music. Cyril’s Fish House in Amagansett is another day party option…. not located on the beach but always a blast. Make sure to have an extra BBC (Bailey’s Banana Colada) for us.

Stephen Talkhouse: You might be catching on to a theme… live music. Stephen Talkhouse is the go-to place for just this in Amagansett. This down-to-earth venue has been a local favorite for years.

Tour the Vineyards: From boat cruises to DJs, the Hamptons vineyards provide a matchless wine-tasting experience. Take a day away from the beach (we can’t believe we’re saying this…!) and visit some of the most impressive wineries on the East End. Bridgehampton’s Wolffer Estate is one of our favorites to sit back and enjoy endless rosé.

FlyWheel: Be bikini ready & energized after an indoor cycling experience unlike any other. Get ready to burn anywhere from 500-700 calories during the ride… don’t worry the friendly instructors will show you everything you need to know. East Hampton is the company’s largest studio & offers FlyBarre too.

Babette’s: Our favorite East Hampton brunch spot located right across from the Lilly Pulitzer store… super delicious plus everything is organic and prepared with local ingredients. Plus, there’s a good chance you’ll be enjoying your omelet by a vacationing celebrity.

Lunch aka “Lobster Roll”: Yes, the restaurant is called Lunch. So of course you have to pick-up a mid-day bite here. Located of the side of Montauk Hwy in Amagansett, this spot is home to quite possibly the best lobster roll on Long Island.

Ruschmeyer’s: This Monatuk hotel styled like a summer camp for adults has a delicious restaurant. Enjoy the ambience either inside full of hanging Japanese lanterns or outside on picnic tables surrounded by hammocks & fire pits in the garden.

Navy Beach: Our favorite lunch spot in Montauk. Enjoy a delicious meal on their 200-foot private beach and watch the boats enter and exit Fort Pond Bay. The cabanas are a must! Need we say more?

75 Main: Located on Southampton Main Street…enjoy cocktails & dinner here and then head straight to the lounge’s dance floor.

Harvest on Fort Pond: Dine outside in the restaurant’s fully-functional vegetable and herb garden overlooking Montauk’s Fort Pond while enjoying family style Italian cuisine. The portions will fill your family and then some.

Consider yourself packed. Lilly Pulitzer Summer Collection has everything you need from a sunny day at the beach to a wild night out. The key to the Hamptons is chic yet simple. Our Deanna Tank Top Romper, Dusk Strappy Silk Slip Dress & Tidewater Tunic Dress are Hamptons essentials. Plus, anything in our Montauk print… it’s only fitting.
