Posted on March 12, 2014 in More Fun by | 1 comment

Lilly’s life was full of family, friends and the most amazing celebrations for all kinds of occasions. This year we’d like to honor her by celebrating the happiest moments of your entire life in Lilly. Throughout Spring (and beyond), we will be celebrating our “You Never Forget Your First…” campaign. Whether your FIRST Lilly, Love, Celebration, Style Icon, or Resort Getaway, share your photos with #YouNeverForgetYourFirst to be featured on our site HERE. We’re falling madly in love with all of the images.

To sweeten the deal, we’re giving away monthly a VIP trip to one of our favorite destinations each month. Submit your story/photo on our Facebook Tab for the monthly theme for the chance to win a getaway to one of our favorite destinations. Hurry! Submission for this month’s theme of “You Never Forget Your First LOVE… in Lilly” ends March 19.

“I’ll never forget my first celebration in Lilly… The first event we ever put together for Kiel James Patrick was a Boat Shoes to Blazer themed end of Summer party in Newport,RI at 41 North in 2010. It was a lively evening spent sipping cocktails, dancing (Kiel and Fred Castleberry of Unabashedly Prep had the attention of the room with their perfectly synchronized Thriller moves) and shopping the local brands. Everyone was dressed in their colorful best and I chose to wear the Lilly Jonah Dress in Don’t Be Koi. I love looking back at pictures from that night and am so glad I decided to wear a Lilly for my first company event. Years later it is still one of my favorite dresses.”

“I will never forget my first Lilly dress. Eight years ago, I was newly engaged and shopping for the perfect dress to wear for our engagement photos. While at the Lilly Pulitzer shop in Winter Park, FL, I fell in love with an adorable white dress with ruffle straps and flower detail that I had to have. We are celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary next month, and my heart still skips a beat for my husband… and my first Lilly dress.”

“The best way to celebrate is in Lilly!  I have always thought daisies are good luck so when I found this dress I fell in love, and was the perfect piece for my High School Graduation.  Two years later and this is still my go to for summer weddings and parties.  This was the perfect dress to bring me into my next chapter in life.” (Photo taken by KJP)

“I was shopping for an outfit for an upcoming luncheon and saw this dress at the Bloomingdale’s in Palm Beach Gardens before there was a Lilly Pulitzer store. I recently had started my own public relations and event planning company and I thought it was the perfect “Palm Beach Professional” dress. It reminded me of style icon, Jackie O. Kennedy. I still have this dress and it makes an appearance when I want to feel classy and fashionable. ” (Photo taken by Andrea Graeve Photography and Design)

“I had a skirt in seventh grade I think, but this was my first official Lilly Pulitzer dress. In eighth grade I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society (it was a big deal at the time haha) and I couldn’t find a dress anywhere.  By eighth grade, I was pretty adamant on NOT wearing kid’s clothing, but I pretty much couldn’t fit into anything else.  My best friend was wearing a Lilly dress (adult sized of course) and I was depressed because I wanted to so badly.  My mom and I went to the Pink Palm and found the most mature looking little girls dress we could.  I was in LOVE with it! (I hadn’t figured out what a flat iron was just yet.)”

We can’t wait to see your #YouNeverForgetYourFirst. xx.

I fell in love with LILLY decades ago…so long ago, in fact, that my first pieces were made from the material that was printed at Key West Hand Print Fabrics near the Southernmost Point of the United States!! The anticipation always swelled to a fever pitch on the drive down A1A in search of a new favorite design! This excitement eclipsed only by the fun of finding “lilly” hidden somewhere in the pattern!! I wish I could share a picture of me and my VINTAGE LILLY, but a recent move has put my photos just out of reach! My love for all things LILLY still beats in my heart!! xoxoxo
