Posted on January 16, 2014 in Inspiration, More Fun by | 2 comments

Ring, ring…is it your dream job calling?!? From January 20-24 at 5 PM EST our Vice President of Human Resources will be surprise calling Lilly Lovers who DREAM of being an intern at Lilly Pulitzer. OMG! SOO cool… right? You can APPLY HERE to be on her special list. In the mean time, here’s the Lilly Dream Job Team’s advice on how to impress a potential employer over the phone in just 5 minutes…

Be Informed- Research our company.  Research our company.  Research our Company… and then research our industry. The more informed you are the more prepared you will be to have an intelligent conversation.

Get Serious- Don’t take a casual approach to this.  We have our Vice President of Human Resources calling you.  Every single offer that is made in this company is approved by HER.  She is kind of a BIG deal around here so be sure to take this call seriously.

Have a Positive Attitude- Be sure to have a positive attitude, after all you just won!  Smile—it will radiate through the phone and make you seem as gracious and excited as you really are!

Ask Questions- Not the “what is your favorite thing about your job” sort of questions.  Get us thinking. Put some thought into ask specific, poignant, open ended questions.

Be Memorable- we have over 5,000 applicants for internships and only 20-25 positions available.  Be sure to leave the conversation and have been so memorable that we have to call you back for the next round!

See all of the information about Lilly Internship Recruiting HERE.

Hope to talk to you SOON. xx

I’m really enjoying the design and layout
of your website. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me
to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a
designer to create your theme? Great work!
