Making Dream Jobs Happen: Tips from the Lilly Recruiting Team

Posted on September 20, 2013 in More Fun by | 8 comments

Frequently overheard at the Pink Palace, “We’re so lucky… we really have the best jobs…” But we REALLY do! From being able to wear our brightest printed outfits every day to the ongoing parties of cake and toasts at the Pink Palace, we’re all incredibly lucky to call this work. However, getting your dream job is no piece of cake (although it feels like we have that 24/7 here…). So, how do you get where we are? We chatted with the experts – the Lilly Recruiting Team- and they are here to spill the inside scoop.

- Timing is everything. You’ve heard it in your favorite love story. You’ve heard it from your mom. But it’s true! We may not have the perfect role open for you now but we always love to stay in touch for future roles at Lilly.

- There are a lot of different jobs At Lilly! The hiring decisions are based on your portfolio, or your experience on your resume but we also want to make sure your personality will fit into our culture.

- We look for every applicant to embody our core values. Our top 2 core values are “Upbeat with a team approach” and “Solution Oriented.”

- Ditch the suit! What to wear- we want to see your style and personality come through in an interview.

- We want to know why you love Lilly!  Be prepared to answer that question and describe what Lilly means to you.

- Interview us! Come prepared with questions and then more questions.

- We love to recruit through LinkedIn! So if you’re not on it- join it. If you are, connect with us but be prepared for us to view your profile and talk about it.
