For the third consecutive year, we were THRILLED to be the presenting sponsor of the Red Cross Beach Bash, the premiere pre-New Year’s Eve celebration held at the Beach Club in Palm Beach on Saturday, December 29th. For the first time ever, tickets were SOLD OUT the day before the event and the Beach Bash had its highest attendance with over 700 guests. The ticket sales and raffle, which included a Lilly Cruiser and two exclusive canvases painted LIVE by Lilly Pulitzer print designers during the event, helped give over $70,000 to the American Red Cross, another record-breaking number for the event!
This year’s theme was Under the Sea and Bruce Sutka, famed event designer, did not disappoint! Guests made their entrance through the glowing white curl of a wave and then walked on a clear, glass bridge over the Beach Club’s enormous outdoor pool to be greeted by two mermaids who flanked the amazing coral ensconced entrance way.
The crowd then divided their appetite for fun between delicious food from under the sea (calamari, conch salad and lobster mac & cheese – YUM!), a Deep Blue signature cocktail, and dancing to Superstar DJ Adam Lipson’s mixes all while enjoying the chance to ham it up in the Lilly-themed photo booth.
Attendees from all over came decked out in their brightest Lilly or Louder attire. The sea of color was created by Lilly dresses from the current collection, past favorites, vintage pieces and even a few soon-to-be delivered dresses from the upcoming Spring & Summer lines. The splashiest looks were seen on the men who donned their favorite Lilly printed pants, jackets & shirts- yowzers!
Lilly was so excited to play host to some fabulous guests this year including the winner(s) of our Facebook contest as well as fashion bloggers from New York, (see their posts here, here & here) Washington, DC and Palm Beach. Along with special customers, employees and friends of Lilly, the Young Friends Host Committee helped bring out an amazing crowd that brought so much energy to the event, they opted to forgo the VIP cabanas featuring printed lanterns and custom printed pillows and hit the dance floor with a vengeance!
At the stroke of midnight, departing guests were delighted with red velvet donuts, coffee and a gift bag filled with either a Florida State Murfee for the ladies or a Lilly printed tie for the men- both of which were spotted late-night at The Breakers new hot-spot, HMF.
A BIG BIG thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event a record-breaking success!
