SHOP Garden Menagerie

1. What inspired this print?
These first Fall prints were all about Garden Games and I have always loved the idea of menageries in the gorgeous estates of the past. What could be more fun than playing games amongst lions, camels, giraffes and elephants? I was also thinking of all of the twists and turns in gardens and turned that into the paisley, being inspired by garden gates and fun florals.

2. How did you come up with its name?
It was a no-brainer. When I was hiding all of the animals in the print, all I was thinking about were gardens and menageries.

3.What secrets are hidden?
There are LOTS of critters hidden in this print! There’s a lion, camel, giraffe, AND an elephant. And, as always, there are plenty of Lillys hidden in there too. Make sure to find the one hidden in the star! Wink wink.

4.What materials did you use or combine to create the artwork?
Just markers!

5.What does this print say about the Lilly girl wearing it?
This print is bold and exciting and will MOST definitely start lots of conversations about all of the fun things hidden in the print. The Lilly girl wearing this dress is outgoing and loves to chat with absolutely anyone!

Dear Lilly Pulitzer,
I have noticed that your sorority series of prints does not include Alpha Chi Omega. AXO is one of the oldest national sororities with large numbers of chapters throughout the US, So, I was just wondering why it has been neglected!?

Lilly Pulitzer comes out with sorority prints in small groups. As a Sigma Kappa, I was overjoyed that we were one of the five chapters chosen for this year. I’m sure it won’t be too long from now. Good luck to AXO!

Pan love,
