Summer Weddings – Styles for Every Setting

We adore Summer weddings. What’s better than spending a beautiful evening with friends celebrating everlasting love?? (we’re saps, what can we say) And let’s be honest, we also love any excuse to buy and wear a new frock! (cocktails will be served, right?)

Speaking of something new… here are 3 looks for 3 different weddings we’re headed to this Summer…

Garden Wedding: We chose the Georgie Dress. It’s floral (duh!), fresh and fun and the fullness of the skirt swings on the dance floor!

Country Club Wedding: The Tylar Dress is perfect for the country club set. The combo of navy & gold brings a more formal feel to the day and it goes beautifully with a pair of killer heels but also looks great when you slip on your late-night McKims!

Beach Wedding: We love the Kori Dress and Carreen Dress. They’re both casual enough for any seaside affair but lovely enough to get just the right amount of oohs and aahhs. (that is- not more than the bride!)

Dear Lilly,

I’m an Oregonian in need of a little east coast fashion advice. I’m going to a wedding in DC in July and wearing the “Kiki Dress Printed Ottoma” in “Hotty pink it can be arranged.” My problem is that I’m unsure of what shoes I should wear (I am unable to wear heels due to a physical injury). I’d like to wear a sandal (because it will be so warm), like the McKim, but I’m concerned that this will be too casual. The wedding is in a church and the reception will be at a restaurant in Alexandria. What do you think? Is a sandal too casual? Can I get away with it if I throw on some pearls?

Jack Rodgers Sandals! Google them! Down here in the south we wear them everywhere with everything! I wear them to church, work, shopping, etc. They are a dressy sandal & I of course wear them with EVERYTHING Lilly!
