We are very excited to introduce you all to Jessica Lane, our newest Marketing Intern here at the Pink Palace.  For the most part, Jessica’s going to be behind-the-scenes, but from time to time we’ll make ask  her to share her perspective as the newest member of our Lilly family!  And here she is!…

Hi Lilly Lovers! I’m working as an intern right now in the Marketing Department at Lilly Pulitzer and I wanted to share a little bit about myself! I’m from a small town in CT called Simsbury and have lived there for most of my life. Growing up in New England, Lilly Pulitzer has been in my closet forever, but I have to say- I never imagined I would be able to be a part of such a wonderful company!

I am a Senior at Villanova University studying marketing and finance and I’m also a member of Delta Delta Delta (I love our Lilly print!). The Summer before my junior year, I studied abroad in London. Not only did I fall in love with British accents, but I fell in love with every single one of the amazing European cities I visited! While in London, I interned at a small fashion company called Lotus London, known for their beautiful jeweled and bright colored dresses. Lotus London is a very small company which was great because I was able to experience all the aspects that go into maintaining a successful fashion company. So now I had the itch to travel AND a passion for fashion!

So that led me to pursuing an internship in New York City this past summer. I had the great opportunity of interning at Giorgio Armani. At Armani I worked in the wholesale department and my favorite part of the job was helping to style models for selling appointments. I enjoyed these experiences so much that I wanted to continue my learning in the fashion industry which is how I ended up working here at Lilly! (I’m so lucky Villanova is local!)

I already feel at home working in the Pink Palace and every day brings a new adventure. It is the perfect place for me to learn how a marketing department operates while still having fun! I am so excited to continue to share my love for Lilly with you in the upcoming months.
