New Year Cheer Online Sale Shopping Tips!

Lilly Pulitzer Online Sale shopping can be quite stressful. Oh sure, it’s fun- we smile and laugh and get giddy thinking about it but when it comes down to it, getting what we want is serious business. We get that… and we want to help! Below are some tips we’ve learned from our previous online sales-we certainly hope this helps you start 2012 with smiles and lots of Lilly!

Know how to get around. Preview the site the night before so you have a pretty good sense of how the site works. (we know some of you could checkout in your sleep!) There will be a designated SALE section during the 2 days. The sale section will have a drop down menu for each category on sale. Here are the sections we will have featured: Dresses, Tops, Bottoms, Accessories, Swim, Men, Kids and Murfees. Knowing this should give you a head start on where to kick off your shopping spree!

Start an Account. If you don’t have a lillypulitzer.com account, be sure to get one started before the sale starts tomorrow. This way your credit card & shipping information is “pre-loaded” which will save you time at check out. You’ll simply log into your account before you’re ready to shop and your information will be pre-populated during check out. This is also a great way to come back and check on your order status as you eagerly await your goodies! Get your account started here.

Quickly narrow your search. Say you’re after some dresses for your wardrobe. The quickest way to narrow the search for all the dresses available in the size you’re looking for is to go to that category page and at the top, right above the product pictures, look for the menu. Click “Narrow by” and choices will be revealed. To the left, you’ll see “Size” – here you can simply choose the size you’re looking for and you’ll see that your choices below will have changed. You can use this method of shopping to narrow the search for any of the categories you’ll be shopping.

Sort by price. If you’re using the “I’m only buying it if it goes on sale for less than $X” shopping strategy, you’ll want to use the “Sort by Price” feature on the category pages. You can sort by high to low which should help narrow down your selection.

Check out early and often. Once you’ve found that coveted item you’ve been lusting after, waste no time rejoicing – CHECK OUT! Just because items are placed in your cart does NOT mean they are “reserved.” Unfortunately this is simply how real-time inventory updates work during extremely high traffic times so the only way to guarantee you get what you’re looking for, you must completely check out. Ground shipping is FREE during the sale so don’t worry about the number of transactions you’re making- you just worry about completing the transaction!

Be familiar with the order process. Your order will go through 3 stages during the transaction process. 1st, after you order, you’ll receive an order “confirmation” e-mail. This e-mail will simply confirm that your transaction was received and that your credit card will be billed the amount noted on the order. After this, your order will appear as “processing.” Processing is the stage where your order is picked and packed and can take up 2-3 business days. The last stage of the order process is “shipped.” This quite simply means that your order has left the warehouse and is on its way to you!

Tracking your order. If you’re anything like us, you’ll obsessively want to know WHEN everything is scheduled to grace your doorstep. There are 2 ways you can do this. At check out, you are prompted to provide an e-mail address where your order status will be sent to you via e-mail. However, if you don’t want to rely on your e-mail to keep you updated, you can use the “Order Status” feature on the website. To check your order status online, you’ll need your order # (a 6 digit number beginning with a “2, 3 or 4” – if your order has an “F” at the end, leave it off when entering the code online) You can use this feature once your order enters the processing stage but be aware- your order may not appear as valid if you try and track it too soon after transaction completion.

Understanding the return policy. This sale will include items that are NOT eligible for returns or exchanges and will be denoted as FINAL SALE. Swim, accessories and unsized items will be final sale. Please double-check your items before you check out if this is of concern to you. All other apparel and footwear items can be exchanged for size or for online store credit to be used at lillypulitzer.com. $7 for return shipping costs will be deducted if prepaid shipping label is used. Lillypulitzer.com must receive sale merchandise for exchange or credit within 30 days of the date the item was shipped to you. Items must be unworn, unwashed, unused and undamaged with original tags for exchange. No refunds will be made on sale merchandise.
