One of our favorite Pack for Paradise partners over the last year has been JetBlue. They’ve partnered with us on several occasions to fly our lucky winners to paradise (it’s easy to love them when they deliver you to heaven!) So when they reached out to us and asked about Janie’s baggage, we thought it was a liiiittle personal but we listened. Turns out they put together a fun program promoting the fact that they offer customers a first checked bag-free all while raising money for children in America. We love JetBlue and we thought it sounded fun so we got on board by donating a Janie-signed Originals Carry On! (complete with an autographed headshot of our favorite blonde along with a signed luggage tag!)
JetBlue does a better job describing the program so here are the details straight from them!
A little extra baggage isn’t always a bad thing, especially on JetBlue, the carrier known for offering customers a first checked bag-free. To celebrate this liberating experience and help raise money for America’s youth, more than 50 famous musicians, actors, designers and athletes have donated their signed carry-ons, party purses, briefcases, guitar cases and other baggage to JetBlue’s Celebrity Baggage charity auction. The baggage will be auctioned off on eBay, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting the airline’s long-standing charitable partner, DoSomething.org. Each signed bag includes a custom JetBlue luggage tag and some pieces are accompanied by personal items and unique experiences from the celebrity donor. To get up-close and personal with the baggage, fans can head to Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, CA where many of the items will be on display and visitors can bid on them directly from their smartphones. In addition to money raised through the auction, fans can also visit JetBlue’s Facebook page to enter for a chance to win a piece of celebrity baggage and, for every entry received, the airline will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to DoSomething.org.
Janie’s the best- even her baggage is fun! We hope you join the bidding fun so you can have a one-of-a-kind piece of Lilly and support a great cause at the same time. BID NOW!
