Virginia is for Lilly Lovers.  (we thought Virginia’s state slogan was missing a little something) And that’s why Ocean Palm’s owner, Janet Lane-Robert’s, opened her first Lilly Pulitzer signature store- so Virginia Lilly Lovers had a place to buy their Lilly! We’re happy to feature her original location as this week’s Store of the Week…

A little background: Janet had previously owned a high end children’s consignment shop in Northern Virginia and as her own daughter grew older, Emily fell in love with Lilly Pulitzer. Janet knew then she had to open her very own Lilly store!  Their doors opened in 2004 in the La Promenade shopping center of Virginia Beach, VA. Ocean Palm is the only specialty shop in Virginia Beach selling the Lilly Pulitzer brand. Throughout our 7 years of business, we have established great customer relationships with the local Lilly Lovers. In 2008, we opened our second location in Merchant Square, Colonial Williamsburg, and launched our website.

Favorite Product from the Spring 11 delivery: The Blossom Dress in Hotty Pink First Impression (Summer 2011 just arrived so we haven’t picked a favorite yet!!)

About our town/shopping center: La Promenade Shoppes is an upscale shopping center located in the heart of Hilltop.

Our store is unique because: Lilly is a unique brand on its own and people wished their stores were brightly colored as ours!
