We had a beautiful and exciting day at Carolina Cup on Saturday and it was a sea of Lilly at the races! It was so great to see everyone out and about having a great time in their Lilly. We were THRILLED to have so many people stop by our tent to say hello and pick up some Lilly goodies!
People were right on time when we opened the tent at 9am and made sure they were first in line at Lilly! People loved being able to see Paige paint on site and couldn’t get enough koozies and croakies! We went over to “College Park” and Lilly was everywhere, which was amazing to see. We loved it so much that we asked so many groups of people if we could take their pictures (we were the Lilly Paparazzi of the Cup!)
Yes, yes, we know- you may have gotten a teensy distracted by all the fashion or perhaps your view was blocked by a sun hat or two so we’re here to fill you in! The winner of the 6th race, which Lilly Pulitzer sponsored, The Sport of Queens Hurdle (2 1/8 miles over national fences, maiden fillies and mares 4 years and older), was Pensy. We were thrilled that a female jockey, Danielle Hodsdon, won the race we sponsored and we were given the honor of presenting her with her award. And sure, she’s an amazing jockey but we think her lucky charm was her pink and green uniform.
