Set to open this winter, the brand new resort will exude simple luxury with 86 two- and three-bedroom villa suites, a three-meal restaurant and gourmet deli shop, spa, two swimming pools, swim-up beach/pool bar and water sports offerings.
Guests will be able to take advantage of the following offerings: transfers from the airport (both ground and helicopter rates apply); personal butler and chef services; on-site wine steward; a Kid’s Club with activities and babysitting services; as well as a full-service concierge who can arrange island excursions and more.
The villa suites range from 1,900 to 4,000 square-feet. Each features a fully equipped, high-end kitchen with Viking appliances, spacious living room, dining room, bathrooms with Balinese-style stone sinks and walk-in showers and a landscaped terrace. Many have private plunge pools. All suites offer air conditioning, satellite or cable television on Panel-screened TVs and wireless high-speed Internet connections. The residences are furnished and decorated by acclaimed interior designer Patricia Reid, who used a warm and elegant approach that seamlessly blends with the surrounding island beauty.
From sunrise to sunset, the resort’s restaurant and bar will offer a relaxed dining experience, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests will enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean while indulging in locally-inspired delicacies. The cuisine will include Caribbean fare mixed with global fusion cuisine served tapas-style.
Samaná is home to one of the largest and best breeding grounds in the world for humpback whales. Between January 15 and March 25 each year, thousands of whales from the North Atlantic population migrate to the region. Guests can also visit El Limón Falls by foot or by horseback. Los Haitises National Park offers adventure tours through Taino caves, subtropical rainforests and archeological wonders.
