We are BEYOND thrilled,excited,ecstatic to introduce the Colorful Cause Jubilee Collection for Summer 2009!!!! I’m sure by now you have all heard (and if you haven’t we won’t hold it against you) that we’ve teamed up with 9 amazing celebs to bring you some kick-*** clothes and give back to a meaningful charity. Gwyneth Paltrow, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Angie Harmon, Debra Messing, Marcia Cross, Bridget Moynahan, Catherine Bell, and Brooke Shields have all worked with us to design their very own Lillys. Each celeb also designed a look for their child or children, helping us celebrate a long time Lilly tradition: Mommy & Me.

Proceeds will benefit EBMRF a children’s foundation dedicated to research and treatment for a rare genetic skin disease. If you want to learn more about this charity please visit here. We have also been following one family’s journey with this heartbreaking disease through their blog. These are limited items but you can find them mostly everywhere Lilly is sold. We’re positive that you won’t be able to find such a colorful summer kick-off collection anywhere else this season!!

Woodford Reserve, the official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby will be shaking and serving $1,000 Mint Julep Cocktails on May 2nd. It’s made with sugar cane grown on the French Island of Reunion and mint leaves grown in Turkey near the Euphrates River, even the ice is exclusive, made from water in the Norwegian Wilderness (no, I’m not making this stuff up). The cups are cast in sterling silver and plated in 24K Gold. In fact the cups are made by New England Sterling- the official Derby trophy maker. Here’s the catch…there are only 96 cups available (and if you’re not having it served in gold why drink it?) You must order in advance and pick up (along with the Julep) in person at Churchill Downs on Derby Day. In case you were wondering they also have 3 more extra special cups with 3 diamonds set in them. These 3 will be auctioned off and proceeds will benefit charity.

Now, I know how the saying goes, “April Showers Bring May Flowers”…..but, we cannot stand the weather anymore! We need some sun!! It is cruel to torture us with oh so cute sundresses and have no sun! So I repeat…Rain, Rain Go Away and, DON’T Come Back Another Day!

I walked into the Print Studio the other day and low and behold saw this gorgeous, pink, vintage type writer. I did some research and discovered this beauty was found by one of our print designers while in art school in Savannah, GA. One day she was driving around in a ’56 Porsche (Seafoam green- which she points out to me is a great Lilly color) and stumbled into an antique store where she found this gem sitting under a table in its box. She opened it up and it was love at first sight.  It is now tucked lovingly amongst the mayhem in the print studio.

With Jubilee Events happening across the country this weekend, we headed to the Polo fields in Wellington, FL to celebrate our new store in the PGA Mall opening its doors April 17th.  Not only were we stomping divots with the best of them, we got to drive the Lilly Jeep on center field!! Champagne trucks and Lilly-clad models welcomed photos and fun throughout the break. After the match we moved poolside where guests received gift bags and a sneak peak of Summer 2009. Jealous?

This past weekend our Austin,TX Lilly store held a fashion show of the latest looks for spring. Carson Kressley stopped by and snagged a pic with our adoreable associates!
